He used the time zone thing with every debate that he sought a convenient way out of. In the aforementioned 'Falklands' thread, once he berated me and a few others that he considered as my defenders for keeping him up an hour past what was his normal bedtime, acerbated by the time zone difference from what he was used to. Then the next day he warned everyone what he was going to be away from the thread for some time, and that he couldn't 'intervene' should he be 'needed'. I thought to myself, 'who does this guy think he is? The debate cannot possibly go on without his input?' While I recognised his views on the Malvinas from a British perspective, that type of blatant arrogance and self-importance rubbed me the wrong way.

"Please send donations to a company run by an anonymous guy somewhere in Croatia and the guy who swears he lives in his house"
Careful... As cedars said, people have been sued for less...!
I got cheeky a few days ago and read a few of John Cedars twitter feeds. He got cross with a newsfeed that he claimed was 'anti-Croat'. That pretty much gave it away for me. Either Croatia or the former Yugoslavia.

So, does Nathan Natas get an invite back? It seemed that cedars' objection was the only obstacle getting and keeping him banned.

So we should just ignore possible illegal activity just because they are committed to bringing down the WT? How is is legally actionable to accuse people using a pseudonym of criminal conduct? Are you suggesting slander or libel? Whatever his name is, he's going to have a hard time convincing a court that his reputation is tarnished and that he cannot find a job because someone on an internet forum said "John Cedars" might be guilty of a felony. If that were the case most members here on JWN (you included) would have cases pending against them. Not looking for a pat on the back. I'd rather you do not touch me at all. And if you want to spit on me, then you can count on an equally repulsive response.
okage - Nowhere in my last post did I include 'Arizona' or 'Commission'. I did use 'ACC'. Sorry about being repetitive, but when the tired old excuses of 'you are not an attorney' come up and I am asked to divulge my sources, I feel somewhat compelled to bring up the ACC. So far, no one has brought anything from an authority that is contrary to or contradicts what the stated position of the ACC is. What would be really helpful is if someone could get a comment from Richard Kelly, the AAWA's legal team coordinator and the incorporator of those documents. Maybe we'd see these comments disappear if he would tell us that no, everything is fine with the use of the pseudonym, and we have checked it out. Just a thought.

I feel it is counter productive from some of the AAWA apologists here to continually take what they evidently feel is a higher ground by insulting the credentials and motives of the people who are questioning the legality of using a psuedonym in incorporation documents. The attitude is generally 'Are you an attorney? Then you don't know what you are talking about, so shut up'. I am privy to the email exchange with the ACC and know what questions were asked, and what were the responses. Though the ACC did reiterate that they are not an enforcement agency and do not get involved with legal matters such as determining whether or not criminal actions were committed, they do say the following:
The Commission's constitutional role as a respository is limited to a determination of whether documents meet statuatory requirements for filing.
Thus, as originally filed, the AAWA's documents were deemed satisfactory. That is, until the fact that the president was and is using a pseudonym was brought to their attention, they did not hesitate to mention that this was definitely contrary to their filing requirements.
I hope those who are so adamant in claiming that nothing was done contrary to the ACC's standards are certain in what they claim. They should know, however, that to continually belittle and be combative towards those who have legitimate questions as to the pseudonym issue is only serving to bait us into taking this a step further and filing a complaint as the ACC has already asked one of us to do.

So you are saying that you know for sure that 'John Cedars' has filed a DBA (Doing Business As) statement with the State of Arizona?

You're probably right. The Arizona Corporation Commission wouldn't know dick about Arizona corporate law. I'll be sure to place a call in to the Arizona State Police and ask to speak to a 'cop' for his opinion. I'll let you all know how all that flushes.

Angharad is right - the AAWA threads were shut down because the points were already made and were being rehashed. This one stays open because it's the first "I hate AAWA because I wasn't invited to be on the Board of Directors" thread.

I'll take that name, Witness My Fury. I'll be incorporating that under the pseudonym of Don Juan Diego de las Malvinas, and I'll be taking and soliciting donations. Cash or check only. If you want to know who to make the check out to, my best friends call me 'Cash'.
